What is Sublimation?
Sublimation is the process of turning a solid into a gas without going through the liquid stage. This can happen when a substance is heated to its point of vaporization and then cooled quickly, resulting in the vapor condensing back into a solid state. For example, when dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) is placed in water, it sublimes, or turns directly into a gas.
What You Need for Sublimation
In order to sublimate the design onto the tumbler, you will need the following items:
-A printer that is capable of sublimation. This type of printer uses special inks that are transferred onto the product using heat.
-Sublimation paper. This paper is specially coated to accept the inks from the printer.

-A heat press. This piece of equipment applies even pressure and heat to the design, ensuring that it adheres correctly to the tumbler.
How to Sublimate
Sublimation is a great way to personalize your belongings! It’s a process where you can transfer images and designs onto objects using heat. The best part about it is that there’s no limit to what you can create.
To start sublimating, you’ll need an image or design that you want to transfer. Once you have your image, print it out onto sublimation paper using a regular printer. Make sure to mirror your image before printing!
Next, place your printed image face-down on your object. If you’re using a tumbler, make sure to place the design on the bottom so that it won’t be seen when the tumbler is being used. Then, use masking tape or another type of adhesive to secure the paper in place.
Now, it’s time to heat up your object. You’ll need a heat press for this step, but if you don’t have one, you can use a household iron. Set your heat press to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (or the hottest setting on your iron) and let it warm up.
Once the press or iron is heated, place your object on top and press down firmly for 30-60 seconds. You might need to experiment with the time and temperature depending on what type of object you’re using.
